1. What information do we collect and what do we do with it?
As part of the enrolment process, we collect the personal information you give us, including your name, email address, high school name, province of residence, and approximate age. This information is collected for administrative purposes, and will not be used for any other reason.
2. How do you get my consent?
When you enrol in PennyDrops Anywhere as a student, you are consenting to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at email@example.com.
It is important to note that PennyDrops acknowledges the importance of keeping its student’s information safe. While PennyDrops will not collect private information other than students’ first and last names, email address, high school name, province of residence and approximate age, this information will not be shared with any third parties. Course progress and survey results will only be available to PennyDrops and the educator who enrolled you in the program (your teacher). We will only use this data to further improve the student experience.
Our course and site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online learning platform that allow us to provide PennyDrops Anywhere to you.
Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. Thinkific stores its client’s data in secure databases hosted on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. While Amazon’s databases are currently housed within the US, the database servers are not accessible outside Thinkific’s AWS database. Access to the databases is only made available to Thinkific’s application servers hosted within the same AWS secured network and to a very limited number of Thinkific technical employees for support purposes.
